Caribbean Carnival is first held in Boston.

(Aug.) The festival includes the J’ouvert Parade that starts at 6:30 a.m. and the Caribbean Festival Parade that starts at 1 p.m., from the southern and northern ends of Blue Hill Avenue to Franklin Park respectively. It is held on the weekend before Labor Day and the annual celebration continues today.
